Back on Track

Scott had the past 9 days off from work. He was gone the first couple visiting his friends in Oregon, but after that we just sat around the house and did absolutely nothing. I have noticed that nothing gets done around the house when Scott is home. I'm not saying that he doesn't do anything, because that is far from the truth. He is great to help out when needed. Dishes, laundry, vacuuming, whatever. I'm just saying that when he is home neither of us want to do anything. We just want to veg, or go out and play. That makes for a lot of "catch-up" when life resumes to "normal". So that is where I am today. Catching up on all the things that I let go while I enjoyed the week with my husband.

I'm looking forward to tomorrow night. Trunk or Treat is always so fun. I love to see all the little kids in their costumes. My kids are excited too. Caleb keeps asking if today is the day. He has been asking for a week and every day he gets so disappointed when I say not yet.

My kiddos are looking forward to trunk or treat also! i don't know what would happen if my husband was home for 9 hours straight, let alone 9 days! my kiddos would absolutely LOVE all of that dad time!

I hope that you all had a good trunk or treat. The house work will always be there. I'm glad that you got to enjoy your time with Scott.

Welcome to my life! Since CJ and I work together and spend every waking moment together, its always hard to get motivated to clean up the house. So I totally know what you're going through. Time spent with hubby always rules over time spent cleaning the house. And I could tell you that it is because "I've got my priorities straight", but its really just because I'm super lazy and will take any excuse that I can get :)

Hope that you and the kids had a great Halloween.

Have a great weekend.
